CONSTRUCTION READY PROGRAM

PRE-SCREENING PROCESS:

Construction Ready graduates are work-ready thanks to our Pre-Screening Process which includes the facilitation of:

  • Recruitment and On-boarding
  • Verifying Program Eligibility with WorkSource
  • T.A.B.E. (testing of adult basic education) – Graduate must meet a 6th grade level
  • Initial Drug Screening and on-going Random Drug Screening during participation
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Full day Industry Evaluation Process
  • Phone Evaluation with Participant confirming 20-day commitment
  • Program Acceptance letter
  • 100 Point System – Participants That Fall Below 70 Points FIRE Themselves from Construction Ready

CONSTRUCTION READY CURRICULUM:

Upon successful completion, graduates can earn up to eight industry-recognized credentials:

  • National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) “Core” (www.nccer.org)
  • OSHA 10 Hour Card
  • First Aid / CPR / BB / AED

Participants also have the opportunity to earn 5 extra credentials, for a total of 8 industry-recognized credentials:

  • Powder Actuated Tool
  • Laser Tool
  • Forklift Safety Awareness
  • A.T.S.S.A. Utility Flagger
  • Competent Person Training in Fall Protection

Fridays are spent with Career Coaches reviewing professional skills, strengthening resume presentations and enhancing team building skills.

NCCER CORE CREDENTIALS:

The NCCER Core consists of the following nine modules:

  • Basic Safety
  • Introduction to Construction Math
  • Introduction to Hand Tools
  • Introduction to Power Tools
  • Introduction to Construction Drawings
  • Basic Rigging
  • Basic Communication Skills
  • Basic Employability Skills
  • Introduction to Material Handling
